DESIGN

Aaron Ishaeik is an award-winning creative director with more than 20 years of design experience in multiple media. He is an accomplished illustrator, printmaker and fine artist. His work has been featured in galleries in Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and San Diego.

 

He teaches printmaking and regularly hosts demonstrations and workshops at the American Institute of Graphic Arts’ Annual Design Conference and The Southern Graphics Council International Conference. He is a the founder of San Diego Printmakers, promoting art in the region. His work is featured in international design and art publications.

Ishaeik’s illustrations and design work have been featured in international publications, including Graphics and Creativity. He has won four regional Emmys® for his commercial work for the Port of San Diego and the City of Chula Vista.

 

Aaron has created 30-plus hand-illustrated icons for every park and recreation center in San Diego County, as part of a strategic branding initiative for the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation, winner of a Platinum Marcom award and Emerging Brand of the Year from the San Diego Ad Club. Ishaeik’s award-winning designs on behalf of MIG’s clients range from large out of-home formats, such as wrapped buses and trolleys, LED dioramas for airports and stadiums, wayfinding signage for the Port Pavilion’s trade shows/museum exhibits (including interactive displays) to detailed graphic design for corporate identity packages, annual reports and packaging.

 

Ishaeik has extensive advertising agency work experience. He has designed for clients such as National Geographic Channel, Discovery Communications, Booz-Allen Hamilton, NeighborWorks and The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Ishaeik also brings vast experience in the government and defense industries, designing for Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Titan and NASSCO.
